Creative Director

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop the creative strategy, ensure objectives are attained and lead all disciplines of the project team in delivering a tactical execution
  • Provide guidance and direction for all creative efforts, including internal design team and agency partners to deliver premium, modern design and creative solutions
  • Execute high-level concepts, campaigns, and programs with the internal creative team
  • Oversee UX/UI, digital design & photography including the curation of our digital properties, websites, email campaigns, social media creative and other digital assets and content
  • Drive the digital and print visual aesthetic, packaging design and development of guidelines
  • Communicate creative objectives and strategies to internal and external agency partners including creative briefs
  • Develop a strong positive working relationship with client partners
  • Hire, mentor, inspire and develop team members. Encourage open and honest communication, skill development and high performance among graphic designers and artists. Promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking, innovation, and rational risk-taking
  • Guide and mentor creative team members to develop their strengths and grow out of their weaknesses
  • Continuously develop and enhance video capabilities within the organization
  • Develop and integrate new creative technologies and processes, identify new opportunities and keep abreast of new standards, technologies and trends
  • Manage the day-to-day functions of the department, moving from design concept to execution – on time, within budget and ensuring high standards and consistent brand message across channels.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

What You Have:
  • Master’s Degree in Design, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or similar field of study. In lieu of degree, 12+ years’ of experience is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • +10 years’ marketing or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing teams.
  • Fluent working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision, and any new & innovative creative tools/processes.
  • Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company
  • Experience in managing a Creative team at an agency
  • Experience in formulating resourcing plans
  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines
  •  Ability to present to and interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  •  Strong abilities in managing the daily operations of department(s) or work unit while developing long term (3-5 years) goals
  •  Strong strategic thinking abilities to understand and process complex information and exercise sound judgement
  •  Outstanding leadership skills; plus exceptional time management and prioritization abilities. Dedication to personal development and education
  •  Well organized and resourceful; effective and efficient at marshaling multiple resources to get things done
  •  Attack everything with drive and energy with an eye on the bottom line; not afraid to initiate action before all the facts are known; drive to finish everything he/she starts
  •  Ability to build trust with those requiring coaching, create a win/win need for change, and recognize and celebrate improvement to sustain change
  •  Possesses “big picture” perspective and able to accomplish that through proper level of articulation across team
