Salesforce Marketing Automation Consultant

You will lead Salesforce marketing automation projects, both as stand-alone efforts and as part of multi-cloud implementations where Pardot or Marketing Cloud are involved. You will coordinate efforts and communicate between business owners and developers. You will use your knowledge of marketing and Salesforce to shape actionable business requirements, and your consulting skills to drive projects to successful outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Guide customers through the implementation of Marketing Automation solutions
  • Be a strategic partner and advisor to customers
  • Conduct business process review meetings and lead the evaluation of functional and technical requirements including user story development and grooming
  • Develop functional specifications and business architecture documentation
  • Document process flows for campaigns
  • Develop project and work plans
  • Manage development team members and coordinate deliverables
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to client stakeholders / marketing team
  • Develop and deliver end-user training and drive user acceptance
  • Keep in touch with live customers with operational retainers
  • Assist with pre-sales estimating and proposals

What You Have:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ experience consulting with clients for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Pardot platforms
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Understanding of Salesforce best practices for marketing automation

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Marketing Cloud and/or Pardot certifications
  • Other Salesforce certifications a plus
  • Project management (PMP or similar certification a plus)
  • Understanding of Agile process – scrum master certification a plus
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Background in agency work – ability to handle multiple customer engagements at the same time
