The VP of Digital Paid Media will serve as a department strategist and internal evangelist across paid digital marketing media with an emphasis on SEM, social and display advertising and expected to drive innovation while keeping the agency’s offering relevant. This candidate will manage all aspects of high profile and complex paid media campaigns, including all initial planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis, and reporting. This candidate will grow existing campaigns while investigating and implementing new ways to profitably acquire new customers while showcasing strong strategical thinking.Most importantly, this  leadership role is expected to drive innovation and keeping the agency’s offering relevant.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead our media team and manage client relationship, as well as being a subject matter expert for internal and external clients
  • Lead the team in social and digital’s role within the media mix and help teams define tactical game plans to set strategies and develop media plans
  • Provide assessment of client’s current social and digital proficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Finalize and present media objective and strategy documents for larger efforts and periodic quarterly and annual planning
  • Look for innovative and breakthrough ideas, approaches and solutions and opportunities to expand existing and sell new business to clients
  • Manage negotiations for high value and/or complex packages
  • Evaluate/approve all recommendations and presentations before sending to client
  • Delegate work effectively to, not only teach direct reports, but also deliver seamless client work
  • Foster an environment that encourages intelligent risk taking, innovation and creativity
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing and evaluating team members
  • Ability to drive innovation for the Paid Media department

What You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a media planning agency role, with emphasis on digital (and integrated) planning and campaign management, traditional a strong plus
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically
  • Proven record of managing multiple projects at once
  • Ability to stay highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment
  • Financial Services experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledgeable of Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Programmatic and other traffic platforms
  • Experience building a paid media department
